Introduction
INTRODUCTION
Once again EAHP has the pleasure of inviting you to our Annual Congress, and for this, the 11 th occasion we will meet in Geneva from 22 nd - 24 th March 2006. In this central part of Europe, hospital pharmacists will have an opportunity to meet, network and share best practice, and keep abreast of developments in hospital pharmacy across the continent. The main theme of the congress will be "Quality and Medication Safety hand in hand". In cooperation with the Swiss Society of Public Health and Hospital Pharmacists (GSASA) the Organising Committee will be pleased to welcome you to Geneva.
The EAHP Congress is established as the premier educational event of the year for hospital pharmacists in Europe, and we are grateful to our Swiss colleagues who are participating in the delevopment of the Congress when we meet in Switzerland for the first time. In addition to the main theme, the Congress programme will also be on three different levels, offering a variety of other relevant topics for which the Congress has become recognised as the premier educational event worldwide in the spring season of each year for hospital pharmacists.
In the Middle Ages, when trade expanded, the city of Geneva became a focal point in Europe. Today Geneva plays host in many international conferences each year, and through these it is increasing international tolerance, understanding and reconciliation. I ts position in the heart of Europe also makes it an ideal meeting point for people of all nations. So get focused, make a note of the date now, and join us in 2006 for a better understanding of the future in hospital pharmacy science and practice.

Continuing Education Accreditation
The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. The presentations identified in the program with an ACPE Program Number are cosponsored by ASHP and will be available for continuing pharmacy education credit for the number of hours indicated.
Pharmacists seeking CE credit hours must complete a CE Request Form onsite and submit it to the ASHP representative (William Zellmer, Deputy Executive Vice President) at the EAHP booth in the exhibit area when the scientific programs are not in session. Dr. Zellmer will bring the forms back to ASHP for processing and ASHP will mail validated Statements of Continuing Pharmacy Education within six to ten weeks after the Congress.
