EAHP launches its new website
August 2008 sees the launch of our new website
The European Association of Hospital Pharmacists launched its redesigned website today. The new web environment marks a dramatic improvement in the appearance, navigability, accessibility and usability of the association’s web.
All the ‘top-level’ pages of the site - for example, the congress section and EJHP pages have been redesigned and reorganised in the first phase of an ongoing project aimed at improving and updating the association’s web presence.
The EAHP recognises that an attractive and easy-to-use web is essential if it is to maintain its unique position in Europe. The development of the new web is being carried out by EAHP Webgroup (4 volunteers) and the Executive Director, in conjunction with the Board of Directors.
The launch of the web coincides with the implementation of fully automated services developped for the EAHP congresses: registration and submission of abstracts on-line and the possibility of collecting data from exhibitors electronically (on-site); congress evaluation forms, speakers biographies and other key elements of the Congresses will be systematically processed via the new website
Other web new features include a powerful search engine browsing through all pages and information posted on the EAHP website, an intranet to allow EAHP delegates and Directors to access internal documents and a newly created page on Hospital Pharmacy. It also provides EAHP sponsors and advertisers more opportunities to expand their visibility.
The new web is still undergoing some changes which will take place progressively. Readers are invited to regularly visit the EAHP website for new and updated information and view the layout improvements.
