This year celebrates the 15th Congress of the European Association of Hospital Pharmacists. EAHP’s congress scientific committee has once again established an appropriate theme: “Focus on Pharmacology – Hospital Pharmacists Advancing Patient Care”. The subject will be developed through seminars, keynote addresses and three workshops: hands-on interactive sessions are invaluable to participant learning.

New this year and based on the importance of clinical pharmacy to hospital pharmacists, ESCP, the European Society of Clinical Pharmacy will contribute a workshop during the EAHP congress on the subject “Clinical Pharmacy for Hospital Pharmacists - Therapeutic education in Cancer Care”.
The congress exhibition also promises a dynamic new event called “showcases”. They will take place within exhibitors’ stands during coffee breaks and lunches and will feature unique shows prepared by industry sponsors. Audience interaction and prizes will make these showcases a hit with participants.
Members of both the scientific and organising committees are exploring ideas to create additional value for participants. The responses received via the Barcelona congress survey were helpful and provided useful ideas. Venues are being visited for future events based on this survey and other suggestions.
