Previously a member of the UK Commission on Human Medicines and the EMA Paediatric Working Party. Currently a member of the Paediatric Committee at EMA representing the profession of paediatric pharmacy and an advisor to WHO on essential medicines for children.

His current areas of research include adverse drug reactions in children; manipulation of dosage forms; toxicity and kinetics of excipients in neonates.
