1. Current Status, Position

Mr David Devolder, PharmD, is currently Deputy Chief Pharmacist at the University Hospitals of Leuven. He is responsible for the department of compounding.

2. Education

David Devolder studied at the University of Ghent and obtained his pharmacy degree in pharmaceutical care in 2011. Afterwards he specialised in hospital pharmacy and started working at the University Hospitals of Leuven in 2013. As clinical pharmacist he was involved in traumatology, septic orthopedics and oncology. Since 2017 he became deputy chief pharmacist and responsible for the compounding department.

3. Research Area

David Devolder has special interest in compounding, aseptic services, TPN, e-prescribing, robotics, GMP and PIC/s related topics. His research focuses on dosebanding of chemotherapy, stability related studies, optimalisation of clinical services and make or buy analysis from a hospital pharmacy perspective.
