Dr Torsten Hoppe-Tichy (State Exam in Pharmacy, PhD) currently is:

• Chief Pharmacist at University Hospital of Heidelberg
• European Delegate for the German Association of Hospital Pharmacists (ADKA) at EAHP
• Lecturer at the School of Pharmacy at Ruprecht Karls University of Heidelberg
• Lecturer at Dresden International University and at Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg

2. Education

Dr Torsten Hoppe-Tichy studied pharmacy at the School of Pharmacy in Braunschweig, Germany. He has a PhD (Dr. rer. nat.) in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the School of Pharmacy in Braunschweig and is Deputy Chief Pharmacist at University Hospital at Ulm, Germany.

3. Research Area

Dr Torsten Hoppe-Tichy's research area is focused on clinical pharmacy regarding drug safety and patient safety through safe administration of drugs, pharmacokinetics of antimicrobial agents, pharmacoeconomy, organsiation of hospital pharmacy and automatisation of logistics and drug reconstitution and production.
