3. Research Area

Dr Van der Meer's academic discipline is Management Science / Operations Research / Business Analytics. He specializes in the area of Operations Management, in general, and Supply Chain Management, in particular.
He works closely with senior pharmacy and medical staff in the National Health Service (NHS) in Scotland on a range of research and knowledge exchange projects. He is particularly interested in supporting innovation in healthcare management through the application of new models and technologies.
