1. Current Status, Position

Dr Weidmann is Senior lecturer at the School of Pharmacy and Life Sciences and Postgraduate Programmes Leader.

2. Education

She obtained her PhD from Robert Gordon University in Biomedical Sciences in 2008. After which she spends some time in Canada working at the Apoptosis Research Centre, Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, before returning to Aberdeen to take up her current position as Senior Lecturer in Clinical Pharmacy at the Robert Gordon University.

3. Research Area

Dr Weidmann specialises in the education of Clinical Pharmacy on both an undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Her research interests focus on the association between diabetes and obesity where she tries an amalgamate both the scientific research (molecular cell signaling and the use of antioxidants as potential therapeutic agents) and the more practical aspects of pharmacy (service development in community pharmacy).
