Current Status, Position

Mr Sotiris Antoniou is currently Head of Pharmacy at St Bartholomew's Hospital, having most recently been a consultant pharmacist in cardiovascular medicine driving improvement in the pharmaceutical care of patients.

Education

Mr Sotiris Antoniou completed his Pharmacy degree at London School of Pharmacy, and has completed his Masters in Clinical Pharmacy in 2001 with his research thesis: "Prospective study on the Pharmacokinetics of Ciprofloxacin in patients with Acute Renal Failure and receiving Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy".

Research Area

Mr Sotiris Antoniou's research focus is demonstrating the value of pharmacists in improving the care of patients, both within hospital and outside of the traditional boundaries of a hospital by integrating pharmacy services from community, primary and secondary care focused around the patient.
