1. Current Status, Position

Dr Mathias Flume is currently Head of Business Unit Prescription Management at KVWL Dortmund. He is responsible for Management and Development of the Business Unit including all prescriptions of approx. 11000 doctors, contracting with sick funds, etc.

2. Education

Dr Mathias Flume studied Pharmacy until 1998 at the University of Muenster and obtained a PhD in 2001. In 2008 he obtained an executive MBA at the Kellogg School of Management Chicago and WHU-Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar. 

3. Research Area

Dr Flume's professional specialisation belongs to the assessment of innovative drugs and their implementation in the regional prescription management. 

4. Conflict of interest: Dr Flume was previously an event speaker for Biogen, Mundipharma and Sandoz.
