The Hospital Pharmacy Group within the Pharmaceutical Society of Iceland represents hospital pharmacists working in hospital pharmacies and healthcare institutions and other pharmacists interested in this field in Iceland.
All members of the Pharmaceutical Society of Iceland, interested in hospital pharmacy, can register as members of the professional hospital pharmacists' group. It is possible to organize subgroups within the professional hospital pharmacists group, also within specific fields of the hospital pharmacy specialization. Each subgroup has a delegate who serves as a formal contact person to the board and a set of simple statutes.
Subgroups: Icelandic oncology pharmacists group.
There are no requirements to complete hospital pharmacy specialisation to work as a hospital pharmacist in Iceland. Each hospital has an in-house training and professional development program.
