Goals
The main goal of the Slovenian Pharmaceutical Society is to connect individual segments of Slovene pharmacy and experts from industry, pharmacies, educational institutions, and administration.
The main goals of Section of Hospital Pharmacists are:
- To provide continuing education courses
- To promote co-operation and good relations among all society members
- To promote and improve all aspects of pharmaceutical education
- To promote professional interests of its members.
Membership
The Slovenian Pharmaceutical Society represents over 3000 members with a hospital pharmacy section of approximately 100 hospital pharmacists working in 26 hospital pharmacies.
Specialisation
There is no mandatory specialisation required to work as a hospital pharmacist in Slovenia. Nevertheless, since 2000, a 3 year postgraduate programme in various disciplines, including hospital pharmacy, has been introduced.
