1. Current Status, Position

Dr Tully currently is a Reader in Pharmacy Practice at Manchester Pharmacy School, University of Manchester.                                                             

2. Education

Dr Tully has the following degrees:

• 1994-1997: PhD, University of Manchester 
• 1986-1997: Master of Science in Hospital Pharmacy, The Queen's University of Belfast
• 1979-1982: Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Pharmacy, The Queen's University of Belfast

3. Research Area

Dr Mary Tully has a research team working on the process and outcome of hospital and non-medical prescribing, particularly on ways of reducing prescribing errors made by junior doctors and has published widely in this area. She has an honorary contract at Salford Royal Foundation Trust Hospital, supervises numerous research students, and teaches professional ethics to undergraduate pharmacy students.
