EAHP's Director of Finance Tony West recently gave a thought-provoking presentation at a European Medicines Agency event on the topic of reducing medication error (March 2013).

With the title "minimising harm through education", Tony West, Chief Pharmacist at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital, considers the lessons from real life case studies and how these connect to regulatory endeavours to reduce risk of medication error.

The presentation ends with a salient reminder for all professionals, courtesy of Aristotle: "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit."
